BACKWARDS

Spiritual Meaning:
To look back into the past can sometimes be detrimental, and at other times helpful. In dreams, to be looking or moving backwards may suggest that answers to our present dilemma lie in the past. Past behaviour patterns may not be appropriate.

Psychological / Emotional Perspective:
When she looked backwards, despite being warned, Lot’s wife was turned into a pillar of salt. To be looking back in dreams suggests that mentally we are not using our best faculties or are not looking to the future.

Everyday Material Aspects:
To dream of going or walking backwards indicates that we may be withdrawing from a situation, or slow to learn from it. We may need to recognize that to continue in a particular situation will, at worst, stop our progress and, at best, impede it.
