VEIL

Spiritual Meaning:
A veil can represent all that is hidden and mysterious – and this often translates into aspects of the Occult. To take the veil suggests becoming a nun and, therefore, adopting a spiritual path. The veil is also a way of shrouding the feminine in order to avoid temptation and is for many women a badge of faith.

Psychological / Emotional Perspective:
The mind has different ways of indicating hidden thoughts in dreams. The veil is one of these symbols. When an object is veiled in a dream, there is some kind of secret, which cannot be revealed except to the initiated or those ‘in the know’.

Everyday Material Aspects:
We may, as dreamers, be concealing something from ourselves, but we could also be being kept in ignorance by others. Depending on our own attitude the veil may symbolize submission to an external authority.
